Changes in mooSocial version 2.1.4

mooSocial version 2.1.4 provides SEO enhancements where site owner can now add individualized meta tags (title, description, and keywords) for all mooSocial's Core Pages. Version 2.1.4 also includes multiple fixes for SEO purpose and to condition mooSocial to be “HTML5 Conformed” an is validated by W3C validator.

This version includes all changes in previous versions. Incremental install/upgrade is not required.

Improvements

  • SEO Improvements
    • Allow Admin to individualize meta header tags (title, description, and keywords) for all mooSocial's Core Pages (except Core's Detail Pages where title, and description are automatically obtained from users' contents).
    • Use site's name, description and keyword as fallback meta header tags when Individualized Page's meta header tags are not used.
    • HTML5 Conformed validated by W3C Validator

  • Enhance Photo cropping feature to conform and display hi-res photo nicely with current layout.

Bugs Fixes

  • SEO issue in Core's Detail Pages when content of meta header tags (title, description, and keywords) are not automatically generate by users' contents.
  • Fix multiple syntax errors (HTML, CSS) preexisted since v2.0.3 to improve SEO and to be W3C validated
  • Fix Content of HTML Block is lost after user click close button to close pop-up.
  • Compatibility issue with PHP 5.2 (incompatible usort function)
  • Site logo is not completely replaced when new logo is uploaded.
  • Issue clearing photo caption when editing Album.

Notes - Please Read!!!

  • This version includes all changes in previous versions. Incremental install/upgrade is not required.
  • “What's New” can only be dragged and dropped into Landing page
  • Blocks or widgets will be hidden until content is available
  • Please make sure to backup your files and database before upgrading your site! It is recommended that you create a mirror site then do the upgade there first. Once everything is ok, proceed to upgrade the live site.
  • Upgrading from version(s) prior to 2.1.3
    • Please make sure to save contents of your HTML block(s) and record the current location of all blocks used before upgrading. All “Drag N' Drop” blocks will be reset to it's original state as you would see with a fresh install of mooSocial version 2.1.3. We have to reset “Drag N' Drop” blocks in order to eliminate all found issues associated with blocks and to avoid any potential persisting problems after upgrading your site to mooSocial version 2.1.3.
